primavera crowns

Yay. It is officially spring  – at least according to the sun and moon (ie today is the spring equinox). In celebration I hope some of you have joined Bethan and me in wearing a flower crown – at least some of the time. Maybe while doing the dishes or working out this morning? I am imaging that I am virtually dancing in a flowery spring meadow with all of you lovely people!

Of course I couldn’t help taking a hundred of pictures of the pretty flowers (though I have maintained some restraint in sharing them there will be more tomorrrow). I haven’t bought carnations for … I think ever, but I think they might be under-rated. What do you think?

eat and snap plus portrait mini-sessions

eatnsnap-april-2014-mycreative

I’ve just booked tickets back to London for some more wedding organisation, but thought that while I was there I would get in an Eat and Snap! I really love hosting these and I ordered a big pack of my tip cards before I left in preparation for just this occasion.

The session will be on 12 April from 10am. I will announce a meeting place closer to the time but it will be in central London. You can read all about what previous attendees have said over on the Eat and Snap page and buy from my shop.

Also, I will be holding a series of mini-sessions for portraits after the Eat and Snap. These are aimed at people looking to update their website or blog pictures or  to have something for publicity purposes. Sessions will be 30 minutes long and cost £45 for 3 low resolution images with one of the three in high resolution. Pictures will likely be taken in a studio but I am happy to discuss in advance any ideas you have to personalise images. Also if you book onto an Eat and Snap session you will get a session for £40!

If you are interested in the portrait sessions get in touch by email at michelle@mycreativephotography.co.uk

After having coffee at the cutest shop/cafe we headed out to a little street in Shoreditch which very handily was full of her brand colours! I think Alyssa’s infectiously happy personality came through in the pictures.

At the time I also took some black and white photos but I only recently finished the film.

I thought these pictures felt suitably autumnal (which kind of seems to be the theme I am going for this week).

David is also a wedding photographer so if anyone one is looking for a photographer check out his site.

lifestyle shots | bracelets

bracelet1 charlotte1-mycreative charlotte2-mycreative bracelet14 A couple weeks ago Charlotte asked if I would take some lifestyle type pictures for one of her DIY projects, these awesome leather/liberty print studded bracelets.  Of course, I did, and we had some fun with the props that were at hand at the Little Bird Gin joint in Maltby Street.  The project was on Henry Happened if you want to see how to make them yourself.

And just an extra pic of Charlotte with the lovely Elena. bracelet9

Freya is absolutely lovely (though I don’t think I’ve ever met a Canadian I didn’t like) and you should definitely go check out her blog and see a few more photos that she posted on her site, including one of her boyfriend Adam which I cheekly took in the pub.  Such good light in there.

If you are interested in having a shoot for some profile pictures for your business or blog you can find out more details here.
